Mia the Event Diva was honored to coordinate the grand opening weekend for the Thinkery, the new Austin Children’s Museum on Dec. 7 and 8, 2013. On December 7, the grand opening began with a kickoff walk led by a mariachi band ending at the doors of the Thinkery. This was followed by a brief ribbon cutting ceremony officially opening the doors to more than 5,000 individuals and children during the span of the two-day event. Attendees participated in hands-on exploration of the new exhibits in the 40,000 square foot facility that focues on “STEAM” learning – science, technology, engineering, art and math – as well as healthy living.
