TAP Black & White Ball

September 2024

The Texas Advocacy Project held its annual Black & White Ball to support their mission of ending dating and domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, stalking, and human trafficking in Texas. Guests made a glamorous red carpet entrance to the event cocktail hour. There, they had the opportunity to unwrap a mystery gift, listen to the musical stylings of Brett Detweiler on the electric violin, and strike a pose at the photo opportunities from Mir Mir and Unique Designs. Maddy received the annual Courage Award, which honors a former survivor-client who has demonstrated the courage to stand up to their abuser and create a healthy, productive, and secure life. What followed was an exciting live auction full of once in a lifetime trips and free champagne for the winners’ tables. Us and Her Band welcomed guests into an after party full of dancing and a lively casino game competition, with the winner receiving a bottle of Don Julio 942 Tequila and dinner for four at Suerte. It was a stellar night, raising a record amount for TAP.

Texas Advocacy Project raised: $1,159,000
