Goodwill hosted A Good Night for Goodwill to support their mission of improving the quality of life for people and families by helping them reach their full potential through work and learning. For their first in person event in three years, they ensured a memorable, and safe, experience for guests by having the event at the Q2 soccer stadium. Guests were amazed as they were able to have the stadium all to themselves, tour the locker rooms, and even step onto the iconic field. The theme of the event was “Believe,” so Cristo Fernandez (Dani Rojas from the hit show Ted Lasso) was the perfect person to kick off the event and remind attendees to “Believe.” The inaugural Henna Award for Philanthropy was presented to two outstanding Austinites, Lize Burr and Chris Hyam. After a record raising paddles up, one lucky raffle winner went home with two Platinum Badges to SXSW.
Goodwill raised: $310,000
