Forklift Danceworks held its Annual Fundraiser to support their work of creating free, community based performances featuring essential services. This year’s theme, A Botany of Desire, combined the love of arts and nature to create a world where beauty reigns. The Zilker Botanical Garden’s rolling hills were awash in colors, twinkling lights, and sprinkled with fresh flowers. Sarah Bork provided a greenery draped photo booth that delighted guests. Forklift Danceworks debuted a performance in collaboration with the gardeners at Zilker, where the act of planting trees was transformed into an art form in front of the guests’ eyes. In addition to being a dazzling display, the night was also extremely successful, raising the most that has ever been raised in one night in Forklift’s 20 year history.
