Communities In Schools of Central Texas celebrated 40 years of showing up for students when it matters most with an evening that honored the organization’s legacy, impact, and vision for the future.
Bringing together supporters, community leaders, and advocates, the anniversary celebration reflected on four decades of student-centered support and the relationships that continue to change lives across Central Texas. Inspired by the words of CIS founder Bill Milliken, the evening reinforced a guiding belief at the heart of the organization’s mission: student success begins with relationships.
Throughout the celebration, guests were reminded of the extraordinary reach of Communities In Schools, which now supports more than 70,000 students across the region. The program highlighted both the impact of the past 40 years and the organization’s bold vision for the future—to expand support to every Title I campus in Central Texas within the next decade.
Thoughtfully designed to inspire connection and community, the evening celebrated the people, partnerships, and purpose that have shaped CIS over the years while inviting guests to be part of the next chapter.
The CIS 40th Anniversary Celebration was more than a milestone event—it was a powerful reminder that when students are supported, communities thrive.
