Interfaith Action of Central Texas (iACT) held its 40th Annual Day of Thanks to join together people of different backgrounds, faiths, and beliefs in an afternoon of shared worship and great food. The event was hosted by the lovely congregation at the First Baptist Church of Austin, and their beautiful sanctuary provided the perfect backdrop for the special occasion. The service consisted of prayers of thanks from local religious leaders and uplifting musical performances. Guests also had the opportunity to explore community tables set up throughout the church and learn about the amazing organizations offering support and connection in our community. The event ended with what might have been the world’s largest potluck with dozens of delicious dishes from many different cultures. Guests left with a renewed sense of community and connection.
