While death is as natural as life, we are never fully prepared to say goodbye to our loved ones. Funeral planning and memorials are near and dear to my heart after experiencing with my husband the loss of his mother and father in a 3-year span. Memorials are the moment to pay tribute to your loved one; to incorporate meaningful details they enjoyed and invite others to celebrate life and love. The event was held at a private residence and included a slide show, brunch on the lawn, big band music, sweet memories shared from families, ending with a eco-friendly balloon release as “I’ll Fly Away” played. It was such a lovely tribute and I was honored to coordinate this special occasion for the family.
