When the Travis County Parks Foundation throws an event, you expect it to deliver on the fun and For the Love of Parks didn’t disappoint. It was full of activities that would make any kid, or kid at heart, jump for joy. Some highlights were the petting zoo, face painting, and live music from Los Texmaniacs. There were guest appearances from important public services, like Texas voting registration and the Central Texas Food Bank, as well as the mobile river, an interactive experience from the Colorado River Alliance. In the picturesque Richard Moya Park, guests played the day away and celebrated Austin’s amazing parks with this free community event.
