iACT Hope Awards 2026

The Hope Awards

April 2026

Interfaith Action of Central Texas hosted its 2026 Hope Awards, bringing together a diverse and vibrant community for an evening rooted in connection, compassion, and belonging. Centered around this year’s theme, Amazing Faiths, the event celebrated the power of unity across backgrounds and beliefs.

The evening began with a warm and welcoming cocktail hour, where guests gathered to the sounds of the BLIA Lucky Dharma Band, setting the tone for a night of reflection and togetherness. Throughout the program, a powerful thread of storytelling unfolded through original poetry written by honoree Mike Blair. Brought to life by voices from across the iACT community, each reading illuminated the impact of the organization’s work—from supporting refugees and families to empowering youth and fostering dialogue.

Thoughtfully guided by host Judy Maggio, the program was enriched by meaningful moments, including an invocation by Venerable Jue Ji Shih and reflections from community leaders that underscored the importance of continuing this work together. A moving personal testimony highlighted the real and lasting impact of iACT’s programs, bringing the mission into sharp and heartfelt focus.

The evening also honored Mike Blair and the Bahá’ís of Austin, whose leadership and service embody a deep commitment to unity and the oneness of humanity. Their presence and contributions created a sense of shared purpose that resonated throughout the room.

In a powerful show of generosity, guests came together during the Paddles Up to support iACT’s ongoing initiatives, ensuring continued impact across Central Texas. The night concluded with a beautiful musical performance by Christine Albert of Swan Songs, leaving guests with a lasting sense of connection and reflection.

The 2026 Hope Awards was a testament to what is possible when community, storytelling, and purpose come together—an evening that not only celebrated impact but inspired it.
